EasyData GH

Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 September 2026

EasyData GH sells mobile data bundles in Ghana. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the EasyData website and web app.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what the service needs in order to work.

Account information

When you create an EasyData account we collect your name, your Ghanaian phone number and your email address. Your phone number is also how you sign in, and it is the number we use to reach you about your orders.

Your password is stored only in hashed form. It cannot be read back by EasyData staff, and we will never ask you for it.

Order and transaction information

When you buy a bundle or top up your wallet we record the amount, the network, the bundle size, the phone number the bundle was sent to, the order reference, the status of the order and the time it happened. We keep this so that you have an order history and so that payment and delivery problems can be investigated.

The number you send a bundle to may belong to someone else. Please only send bundles to numbers you are entitled to top up.

Payment information

Wallet top-ups are processed by Paystack. Your card details and your mobile money PIN are entered on Paystack's own checkout and are never sent to, seen by, or stored by EasyData. We receive only a payment reference, the amount and whether the payment succeeded.

Developer API logs

If you use the EasyData developer API with an API key, we log the endpoint you called, the request, the response status, your IP address and your browser or client user agent. This is limited to the developer API and is used to debug integrations and detect abuse. Ordinary use of the website does not create these logs.

Terms acceptance

When you accept these terms during sign-up we record that you did so, and when.

2. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • create your account and sign you in
  • verify who you are when you return
  • process wallet top-ups and confirm that payments have cleared
  • deliver the data bundles you order to the number you specify
  • show you your wallet balance, your order history and your agent pricing
  • send you SMS confirmations for top-ups and completed orders
  • respond to you when you contact support
  • investigate failed orders, disputed payments, fraud and abuse
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

3. Service providers

Some companies process information on our behalf so that EasyData can operate. Each is bound by contract, and each receives only what it needs for its part of the service and nothing more:

  • Our payment processor — handles wallet top-ups, including all card and mobile money details. This is Paystack, named here because it is the company that takes your payment details and you are entitled to know that.
  • Our network delivery partners — receive the phone number the bundle is for, and the bundle being sent, so the network can deliver it.
  • Our SMS provider — receives your phone number and the message, so that confirmation texts reach you.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers — run the website, the database and the sign-in system on our behalf. They store information for us; they do not use it for their own purposes.

We do not authorise any of these providers to use your information for their own marketing. For security reasons we do not publish the specific vendors behind our hosting and infrastructure. If you need that detail for a compliance or due diligence review, contact us and we will provide it directly.

4. When we may disclose information

Beyond the providers above, we may disclose information when:

  • the law, a court, or a regulator requires it
  • it is necessary to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or a breach of our Terms of Service
  • it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim
  • you ask us to

5. How your information is stored and protected

Your information is held in a managed database operated by our hosting provider, and is transmitted over encrypted connections. Access is restricted, and sensitive operations such as crediting a wallet or confirming a payment are performed only on our servers, never in your browser.

Passwords are stored hashed. Card details and mobile money PINs are never stored by EasyData at all, because they never reach us.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please keep your password and your API key private, and contact us immediately if you think someone else has access to your account.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Transaction records are kept after that where we need them for accounting, tax, dispute resolution or fraud prevention. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or stop it being linked to you.

7. Cookies and local storage

EasyData does not use advertising cookies and does not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts.

Your browser stores a sign-in session so that you are not asked to log in on every page. We also store two small preferences on your own device: whether you have dismissed the WhatsApp channel notice and the app install banner, and which app version you last saw. These stay in your browser, are not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Paystack may set its own cookies on its checkout page. That is covered by Paystack's privacy policy, not this one.

8. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • view and update your account details from your dashboard
  • ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong
  • ask us to delete your account and the information tied to it

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we may need to keep certain transaction records where the law requires it.

9. Children

EasyData is not intended for children. Please do not create an account if you are not old enough to enter into a contract in Ghana.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use EasyData after a change means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact us
